Introduction of Our New General Manager

Kimpton Shinjuku Tokyo, a luxury lifestyle hotel inspired by New York’s cutting-edge art scene, is pleased to announce the appointment of　Nobuhisa Sugimura as its new General Manager, effective November 1, 2025.

After graduating from a hotel management school in Switzerland, Sugimura built his operational career at globally renowned luxury hotels including The St. Regis New York, The St. Regis Bora Bora Resort, and The Peninsula Hong Kong. Upon returning to Japan, he served as head of the commercial division at Starwood Hotels & Resorts (now Marriott International) and FRHI (Fairmont Raffles Hotels International). He later gained extensive experience overseeing operations at Marriott International hotels in Japan.

Since 2022, Sugimura has served as General Manager of Fauchon Hotel Kyoto, where he oversaw overall hotel operations, strengthened financial performance, and significantly enhanced brand value—achievements that have earned widespread recognition.

With his appointment, Sugimura will draw on his international perspective and exceptional hospitality management expertise to drive further growth and elevate the brand value of Kimpton Shinjuku Tokyo.
